Quality Control Centre (QCC)
Before the formation of PSQCA the Quality Control Centre (QCC) was known as Central Testing Laboratories (CTL). Realizing the importance for assessment of quality and grade of industrial raw materials and finished products, Central Testing laboratories at Karachi were established in 1951 on the recommendation of the first Pakistan Industries on Scientific lines as a counter-part of the Alipur Government Test House Calcutta, India, Sardar Abdul-Rub Nishter inaugurated these labs who was the Minister for Commerce & Industries at that time.
Accreditation of Microbiological Lab
The Microbiological Laboratory at QCC, Karachi has been accredited by Norwegian Accreditation (NA). Bottled Drinking water, Mineral water and Beverages are being tested in the Microbiological Laboratory as per standard specifications.

Efforts are being made to accredit others labs of the Quality Control Centre, Karachi and Lahore such as Chemical, Textile, Electrical, Mechanical and Building material.
Under these projects various equipments for different sections of the Laboratories at QCC, Karachi and Lahore have been purchased and installed.
